View Full Version : Comodo caused BSOD on Win 7 PC

So, I installed Comodo Firewall as per recommendations here on all of my computers. All of them ran fine EXCEPT one. For some reason, this one pc, which I just finished cleaning up from a nasty ZeroAccess Rootkit, keeps crashing and causing a blue screen of death. I would love to get Comodo working on the pc so any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Hi -

Please use this program to see if anything clashes with your Comodo -

Download Security Check by Screen317 from HERE
* Save it to your Desktop.
* Double-click SecurityCheck.exe
* Follow the onscreen instructions inside of the black box.
* A Notepad document should open automatically called checkup.txt; please post the contents of that document.
* Note: If a security program requests permission to access the Internet, allow it to do so.

Thank You -

After chasing around Comodo site, the main result was - This sounds like a failed install/uninstall.
Before attempting a re-install please try the appropriate forced uninstaller depending on the version of CIS in the link below.
Forced uninstaller tools
I would consider using both tools if you have previously had V5.X and attempted V6.X.

Thank You.
