Size matters (apparently) http://www.techsupportalert.com/freeware-forum/images/smilies/biggrin.gif and supposedly Samsung reckons this is better for watching videos and running multiple apps. MC thinks however that because of the need to watch videos and run multiple apps, Samsung understands that a bigger battery is necessary. http://www.techsupportalert.com/freeware-forum/images/smilies/smile.gif

I'd buy it... I'm looking into the nexus 7 because of the size... if the phone is as big but can make calls... http://www.techsupportalert.com/freeware-forum/images/smilies/biggrin.gif I know about the galaxy note 8 but I can't get my hands on one http://www.techsupportalert.com/freeware-forum/images/smilies/frown.gif

I agree. Bigger batteries are key components nowadays.

It is no use introducing dual, quad or octa processors bundled with full HD screens if the battery doesn't pack enough juice to live up to the task. I've seen many phones with good specs which, oddly enough, packed a poor battery which forced users to keep a spare battery along with them or to carry their charger at all times.

Based on my experience, I think any "modern" phone (late 2011 and onwards) should pack a battery with 2000 mAh at least if you want to get through the day whilst 3500 should be the standard for the tablets. That is of course very much user-dependent but having a bigger battery shouldn't hurt you. http://www.techsupportalert.com/freeware-forum/images/smilies/biggrin.gif

The increasing functionality of Android (et al.) devices is raising demand for bigger screens. So, people should really consider separating the phone from the tablet. Besides, you look like a geek talking on a phone with more than a 4" screen.

I would really like a big phone like this. In my old age, the eyes aren't what they used to be. In terms of looking like a geek, that's why I would use a bluetooth earpiece if I had a big phone like that.

I love my Samsung Galaxy Note 2 with 3100mAh battery. That combined with the size was what sold me on it. I went to Verizon to get some hands on time with the Note 2 and S3 before picking. The S3 just felt to small in my hand and I was constantly bumping the power button at just the wrong time. The Note 2 had the perfect size to fit my hand and allow one or two handed use. The battery was the final detail that sold me. The S3 could have used at least 400 more mAh in the battery to make it more usable.

That said the 6.3 in phone you mention seems to be a bit to big for my taste. For any considering a bigger phone/phablet be sure to go to a store first and get some hands on time to make sure you get something you will use.
