Both Ubuntu and Android run at the same time on the device, without the need to reboot. This is possible because both Ubuntu and Android share the same kernel (Linux).
When the device is connected to a desktop monitor, it features a standard Ubuntu Desktop interface.
When the device is connected to a TV, the interface featured is the Ubuntu TV experience.
Ability to run standard Ubuntu Desktop applications, like Thunderbird, VLC, Chromium, PiTiVi, etc.
Ability to run Android applications on the Ubuntu Desktop.
Make and receive calls and SMSs directly from the Desktop.

Looks like a step further to make desktops and mobile devices closer to each other? Though in a different way, we have seen some features like the last one already available via Wi-Fi without the need to dock the device to the PC, using the app AirDroid mentioned here (http://www.techsupportalert.com/content/enjoy-your-android-experience-over-air-using-your-pc.htm).

Definitely an interesting development from Ubuntu, see also: "A full Ubuntu desktop, on your docked Android phone (http://www.ubuntu.com/devices/android)".

Thought about using George's script to strike out "further" and replace it with "backward" http://www.techsupportalert.com/freeware-forum/images/smilies/biggrin.gif
