2d cad applications

Maybe i am asking to much but i am looking for a simple 2d car engineering application......free.

There seems to be a lot but there is always something that puts a spanner in the works. All i am looking for is basically a line drawing of say a sheet with holes in it. It needs to be able to put dimensions for reference later on. Saving files in dxf would be good to .



Perhaps the hardest part is i need it to be easy to use
