View Full Version : Free EPS viewer/editor?

Hi, all,



A former employee left our organization after creating the graphics for our website using her personal copy of Adobe Illustrator. I've just started to learn how to use Inkscape, which has no problem opening and editing the .AI files, but it doesn't work for .EPS. Does anyone know of a free editor that can work with .EPS? There's no way I can afford to buy Adobe software at this point.

Gimp is a very popular and powerful "free" graphics editor available at the link below.

And Gimp will process .EPS formats if you add the "Ghost Script" plug in at the link below.

I use Gimp myself, it has been called the "poor man's Photo Shop".

That's great! I've heard of Gimp, but I thought it was the same thing as Inkscape so I didn't spend too much time on it. I'll definitely check it out.
