    Weekly Critique Thread: July 10 - July 16

    My first post, don’t be too nice though!

    Great details and colors, cool bokeh, wonderfully framed. The squirrel looks like it’s up to something, which adds considerable interest. I like!

    Really nice, actually! It’s easy to complain about people shooting the typical sort of "boring" subjects that we have easy access to (squirrels, pigeons, seagulls, etc…), but this is just very well executed. I like how the tail leads you into the frame, the background is vibrant without being distracting, and the way the squirrel is perched is just cute.
    My only complaint would be the branches in the bottom right are a bit distracting. I might consider cropping from the right a bit, and I would maybe even cheat a bit and cloned out the branches – the background bokeh is very uniform, so it wouldn’t be hard or look that out of place.

    Very nice and helpful comment! I agree about the crop, and do think going in tighter from the right would improve the image. Thanks!
