Xbox or Playstation for an Apple Fan.

I’m also an iPhone/iPad/Mac user who casually games. My initial thoughts

    • I don’t think using Apple products in a non-gaming capacity has any effect on your choice.
    • The game you’re looking forward to the most is 5 years old and best on PC (ME3 hurts for story mods)
    • If you have to have one and only one, keep the Xbox because you like the controller more and the rest seems to be a wash.
    • If I were in your shoes, I’d unclutter my life and get rid of both.
    • What I actually do is have a Windows gaming laptop I keep under the couch for casual play on a lap desk. It’s 4 years old and run games like Skyrim, Witcher 3, and the ME series like a champ. Picking up huge sales from Steam and Humble Bundle more or less offsets the cost difference between the computer and consoles. I don’t play with other people, so I don’t miss the social/multiplayer aspect.

Definitely agree with this. It is mostly unrelated issues. I suppose there are a few relatively minor considerations depending on what services you already use, e.g. if you are using Spotify PS4 might make more sense.

Thanks, sorry I meant ME Andromeda!
I agree re un-cluttering and one thing in the Xbox’s favour is the UHD Blu-ray drive and it runs the amazon video app unlike apple tv.

If it was me I’d keep the PS4 (I disagree with all your points – I think the PS4 looks nicer in a living room, had a more comfortable controller, and has more exclusives that interest me)
But different strokes for different folks, and it sounds like the XBox will suit you better.

IMO the original PS4 looked better than the Xbox One, but the Xbox One S looks better than the PS4 slim or Pro. For what it’s worth I thing there OG PS4 looks better than the new PS4s as well.
